2010 FIFA football world cup qualifiers and final

The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the 19th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 11 June and 11 July 2010 in South Africa. The 2010 FIFA World Cup will be the culmination of a qualification process that began in August 2007 and involved 204 of the 208 FIFA national teams. As such, it matches the 2008 Summer Olympics as the sports event with the most competing nations.For the first time it has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa beat Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process. The draw for the finals will take place on 4 December 2009 in Cape Town.A usual qualifiers are so dramatic as that of finals. Southafrica has the gree card entry. Eleven teams qualified so far South Africa, Japan, Korean republic, Netherlands, Korea DPR, Brazil, Ghana, England, Spain, and paraguay. Remaining 21 places have to be filled in by other teams. Big guns like Argentina, Italy, France, Portugal, Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, are inprogress.

English Premier League

Primary football competition in England, Professional league for associated clubs. Top 20 clubs in england participate for the league title. it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with The Football League. The Premier League is a corporation in which the 20 member clubs act as shareholders. Seasons run from August to May, with teams playing 38 games each totaling 380 games in the season. It is sponsored by Barclays Bank and therefore officially known as the Barclays Premier League. Each of the clubs play one home and away game against each of the other club. Winning team will be warded with 3 points, losing team with 0, and result less (drawn) game with 1 point each. At the end of the season team with maximum points will be awarded as winners. My favorite club is Manchester united. Mautd is the current champion and they won it on 11 times.  Othe top clubs involved in EPL are Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton, Tottenham hotspur, Portsmouth, Aston villa, Wigan athletic, Wolves, Stokes city, Burnley, Fullham, Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, and Sunderland.

UEFA Champions League

Champions league or European cup or  UEFA champions league is the tournaments conducted by association football UEFA. Top Football clubs in Europe will participate in this tournament. 32 Teams will participate in this. 16 seed teams are elected from their respective domestic league. 16 siblings are elected from knock out qualifiers. 8 Groups with 4 each compete each other in group stages, Winners and runners in each group will enter in to last 16 knockout stage. Except final all the other game winner will be decided based on one home and way game format, with added scores and importance to away goal. Most successful club in this format is Real Madrid. Manchester united and Liverpool are the only clubs to win European cup.

FA CUP

The Football Association Challenge Cup, commonly known as the FA Cup, is a knockout cup competition in English football, run by and named after The Football Association. Matches in the FA Cup are usually played at the home ground of one of the two teams. The team who plays at home is decided when the matches are drawn. There is no seeding system in place within rounds other than when teams enter the competition, therefore the home team is simply the first team drawn out for each fixture. Occasionally games may have to be moved to other grounds due to other events taking place, security reasons or a ground not being suitable to host popular teams.Traditionally, the FA Cup Final was played at London’s Wembley Stadium.

CARLING CUP

The Football League Cup, commonly known as the League Cup or Carling Cup, is an English football competition. Like the FA Cup, it is played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. Unlike the FA Cup where 762 teams entered in 2008–09 only 92 clubs can enter—the 20 clubs of the Premier League, and the 72 clubs of The Football League, which organizes the competition. Unlike the FA Cup, the semi-finals are played over two legs. The winners qualify for the UEFA Europa League, if they have not qualified for European competition in some other way.

i-League

I-League is the top tier league in the Indian football league system. It was started by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) in 2007-08. It replaced the National Football League which lasted for 11 seasons. The 2007-08 season was the first season for the I-League.The league was renamed the I-League and consisted of eight teams from the NFL plus two promoted teams from the former Division Two. The first ever I-league will be sponsored by ONGC, who were also the previous sponsors of the now defunct NFL. For the first time, clubs in the I-league were allowed to register four foreigners, though teams will only be allowed to field three during a match. All matches are telecast live and exclusive on Zee Sports.  Almost all the clubs are from kolkatta, Goa, mumbai and one from paguara.
