So far so good for almost all Latin american teams. They showed what it takes to dribble football with sneaky passes and effortless finishes. Unbeaten and top class Argentina lead by “Hand of God” Maradona are the serious contenders for FIFA world cup 2010 South Africa. Tough they began their campaign with 1-0 against nigeria, in very next games they showed what it takes to be “ARGENTINA”.  African nations had tough time though only ghana could make big a win atleast, Some Latin American teams, Argentina, Mexico and Uruguay have sparkled, while others like Chile and Paraguay have done enough to suggest that a place in the next knockout phase could be theirs for the taking.

Argentina’s southern hemisphere neighbours, Uruguay, opened with a goalless draw against France, but then broke local hearts when they found their win against South Africa’s Bafana. Mexico impressed many along with Paraguay, In a recent encounter Paraguay held italy for 1-1 draw.

Not to mention Samba Kings, made their mark with a win against North Korea. They are about to play against Ivory coast, I am sure they will make a easy win against Drogba’s side. Recod five time winner made their reputations alive with clean strike from elano and Maicon. Big names like kaka, robinho, fabiono are yet to make their count, i am sure they will do it sooner.

Overall dream run for Latin american countries may result in a clean birth to final 16.
