Adieu! THE BLUES

Surprise exit by two great Blue teams from Europe, ITALY and FRANCE. They displayed pathetic football in group stage, as a result they are last in respective group. As a matter of fact 2006 FIFA world cup finalists are out of WC2010. Usual slow starters ITALY could not start at all. Shameful defeat against slovakia in final group stage offered them return ticket to home.

In an interview lippi said,

“I take all responsibility. I haven’t prepared this team well enough”

Every team had same amount of time to prepare. Such a rich football talent nation with one of the toughest domestic league “Serie A”, can not use such terms in press conference. His usual fake tactics did not help this time, though refreeing standards reduced, Referees  are not fools to offer shameless chances every time.

On the other hand deflated france team has many reasons to exit from WC. Blaming the manager alone is not correct, full system to be blamed, FFF should have taken correct action. Players talking about dressing room fights in media, manager showing anger in pitch, refusing to practice so many reasons for dismal display. Big question is will Zidane  jump again on rescue mission, Will he take coaching cap for France? Only time will answer.
