Tour de IIT madras – Guided Cycle Tour
Tons of Thanks to Guided cycle tour IIT madras organizers Radha, Karan (a) BJ, barath (our guide) and other open hearted CTCians. I might have missed out few of their names, Never mind. BJ has Dedicatedly arranged cycles for us.
My first cycling tour with CTC. Though a short tour, enjoyed to the max.
Tour de IITm started from IIT main gate, followed by few more member additions at GC (Gajendra circle), After small discussion we all headed for Cricket ground, a 400 meter dash running to warm up our body, Acclimatization to the place, Thanks to tour de Tour de IIT team after three long year i go the opportunity to loosen up my muscle in a track an field. Our student Guide Karan “THE BJ” took us to natural pond inside IIT, Few clicks along the way. We continued the traces around the pond. Natural view of the pond, small mangrove forest, and Fishing by few outsiders. I am glad to say pond in IIT a known secret of IITians revealed to others to CTCian.

From there we continued our cycling to GC, central library, open theater, ICRS, mechanical dept, staff quarters , another greeny cricket ground, swimming pool, Basketball ground, synthetic tennis court, and finally to GC.BJ arranged breakfast in main food court, enjoyed aloo paratha + butter + coffee. Though i didn’t get the opportunity to study in IITM, “Tour de IIT madras” helped me to get the glimpse of it.
Looking forward to more such “Tour de xyz”
