TATA NANO – The People CAR – My Take

The most hyped four wheeler of the year “NANO” is out on Auto expo 2008 New delhi. Nano is aimed a CAR to every INDIAN family.

Ratan unveiled this idea couple of year before while traveling in a water logged heavy down poured Mumbai city. Incidentally he happen to see a Indian family of four members ( husband + wife + two kids) standing under a bust stop, in a full wet condition close to their two wheeler. This small incident triggered a thought of creating a people Car. Today he unveiled the prototype “NANO”.

The basic model of NANO will cost 1-lakh excluding tax.

This car is perhaps the most hyped car model of the year. CAR to every family, that too with the praise tag of 1-Lakh is for sure.

Within 10 years of their entry in to CAR manufacturing TATA has achieved many milestones. They proved to the world that “IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING” When you have burning desire to reach the top one day YOU WILL for SURE.

Ratan TATA once again proved that he is one of the best leader of all times in Indian enterprises.

Few more Question on My TAKE,

1. Can TATA prove a point “Quality Vs Money involved” is not always direct proportion?

2. Do we have enough road facilities to take this huge volume of small cars?

3. What will happen if every one get a CAR on their own?

   • Pollution ?
4.  Can TATA meet the emission norms and maintain the same in long run with 1-Lakh as a target ?
5. Can it take up Indian Auto market to the next level up. Our current market position is 7^th.

AT LEAST LIFE IS FULL OF CHALLENGES THAN FOR A CONGLOMERATE….. enough of questions. I leave it to TATA. A group I always admire for.
