T20 premier leauge in India is IPL or APL?

Very next day after the IPL I ask this question based on my understanding of the format is it Indian Premier league or Australian Premier league. No doubt dominant players of Australia made a big impact on the cricket crazy Indian soil with IPL format. Almost all current players of Cricket Australia made their presence in this great Cricket festival first season.
To name a few, Bowler + batsman + coach + mentor Shane warne with Watson and Lehman in Royals, Bowling legend McGrath in Daredevils, Symonds and gily in deccan chargers, Mathew and Michel hussey in Super kings, Ricky ad David hussey in knight riders, marsh and lee in kings xi and Many more. In every role they played they are the outstanding from leading run getters, wicket takers, to man of the series.

What made me to say APL:
1. Dominant Cricketers and their influence on the game flow.
2. Money spent by the franchises for players to play few games
3. IPL formats Lack in creating local talent

In a country of above 1 billion populations market for entertainment is countless. Indian entertainment industry estimated to count for above $27biliion by 2011, made a huge earning grounds for BCCI. It has created a master plan to extract the possible max. As richest crickets board in the world what role does BCCI play to promote the game in this format? To me Just Money Makers. From the list of franchises only few are really want to create cricket academy and to promote the game, majority of them want to calculate the break-even point and return ratio.

As a tail end entertainment seeker my last 45 evenings are filled with IPL. It is really entertainment ka pop. This is a welcome change in the entertainment media, the game format and the entertainment package is new to India but “PERFECT and WELCOME CHANGE”. Loads of business opportunities are evolving around IPL now.

IPL has delivered everything that it promised; i felt it could do a lot better if it cares more for cricket Indian players. One can ask why don’t we leave that as a simple entertainer instead of talking about plus and minuses, When the country’s economy takes a sift one of it’s by products entertainment also go along with it. Entertainment through events will be big market to play on. I hope BCCI will find ways to use those gathered money for the well being of the society.
