Breathless Friday Evening
On a typical Dark and Gloomy Friday evening Rajeev 3rd year B.Tech Mechanical department student from Government Engineering college Thrissur escapes from the boring Thermal engineering 2 theory session. Traditional jalakam (window) helped him to escape in phase with the lecturer’s entry into the classroom.
Rajeev at the chayakada (Tea shop) with cuttan chaya (black tea) on one hand and cigarette on the other hand. NDTV 24×7 newsroom announced the assassination of Benazir bhutto in Pakistan. After 30minutes he took the bus to malappuram to meet his lonely father.
An hour later at the outskirts of malappuram every vehicles were at standstill due to the local hartal (bundh equivalent in kerala) called by musilim league politician In the name of “Democracy death in Pakistan”.
Politician Need some activity to showcase their power… hartal obvious one from this part of the world
Rajeev walked for an hour by foot to reach his living area, suddenly he noticed many rose petals in the streets of sahodharan ayyapan road. His brain recalls the last ceremony homages in hindu families with flowers called malai. Entire path towards his home is covered with rose pedals his home is not far from eye site which is the 5th cross street.
His heart beats shoots up to the max, he made special obligations to god
“NOT TO ME please not to me”
Many people were standing in front of his home some of them with flowers bouquet some of them with rose malai.
He is at cloud –9.
His feet speed is in direct relation to his heartbeat. He is at the entrance.
A school kid with the chart “ CONGRATS MASTER” and another one “Meritorious High school Teacher Award”
Tension relived Rajeev with few tears on his eyes…. hugged and conveyed his congrats to his proud father (Head master of Government High school Nilambur).
Brain correlates many events at a time .… Care and affection adds fuels to it…. But in the end almighty wins the race.
